Also, the Misfits’ songs really were better, and it was bullshit that they kept losing to Jem and the Holograms. The Misfits rode motorcycles shaped like guitars. That is the most bad-ass thing ever.

Does anyone remember the Jem theme song contest where you called an 800 number and sang the Jem theme song and the best rendition won all the Jem dolls and clothes and like a trip to California? Was I the only person who entered this contest? And if I was, why didn’t I win?!

He dates Betty and he dates Veronica, and on the rare occasion Midge or even the incredably foxy Cheryl Blossom. HOWEVER he is just dating them and not going “steady” with either of them, making going out on dates with more than one girl okay. I used to get crap for that from some of my girls who were just friends when I would tell them about going on dates with more than one girl my defense was always, Well if Archie can do it why can’t I?
The one that always freaks me out is the Lion King. Simba either marries his sister or his cousin, depending on if it was his dad or his uncle who knocked up Nala’s mom. Then their daughter marries her cousin. Stuff like that makes me shudder
But that’s a relatively new taboo. And there are several states, such as California, where it is legal to marry your first cousin.
And if you step back a little, they are lions, not people, so…

I totally agree with the misfits having better songs. Did you ever get the dolls? they came with cassette tapes with the songs from the show. It was awesome.

I was so curious about this show after reading your comments on it that I convinced a friend to watch it with me on YouTube. We watched 2 episodes. I was more concered that the Misfits are constantly trying to kill (not harass or bully but literally kill them) Jem/Jerrico and her friends. Also, they’re always destroying public and private property AND NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I don’t understand how they get away with all these felonies without going to jail. There’s only so much a music producer can sweep under the rug.
Another thing that bothers me so much….! THATS NOT HOW HOLOGRAMS WORK!
